To all you house fans out there we have one of the newest big room sounding producers for you, Martin Giuffre. At just 21 years old this Calgary native is making a name for himself and has already played alongside Nicky Romero, Wolfgang Gartner, and Chris Lake to name a few. With two new EPs coming up this year and a slew of remixes in store, I’m more than anxious to see what Martin has in store for his fans.
With other artists commandeering the rooms of Rejected’s Dusty House, including fellow label owner Edwin Oosterwal, its been a while since the label boss Voorn has been in residence. Now he’s back and ready to drop his next brace of hits. “Spank The Maid” finds the Dutchman in a mischievous mood as he builds and drops with an organ riff and cut up vocal. We tend to avoid the majorly mainstream releases but this has been making some noise for quite some time. The two heavyweights of house have had this one ready to go for a while now and the anticipation has been steadily building towards its release. The track itself is a solid combination of both producers strengths, with a dirty modern talking bass that Nicky has used for previous productions, and a rising melody that both Guetta and Romero have each mastered in their own releases.
